Nothing seems to feel normal right now. Even though we’re in crazy times, it’s still a new day! A new beautiful day where we get the opportunity to see things from a new perspective!
There are times when the “what ifs” take over and moments where I have peace and calm. The thing that keeps me going is the fact that there are only certain things I can control. Control what you can control is my motto nowadays! Here are a couple things I have control over.
My thoughts. I choose my attitude. I can choose to cool off instead of getting angry. I can protect myself and my feelings from social media and news. This is a perfect time to rectite affirmations to yourself.
The tone of my house. I don’t have the news on all the time. I want to focus on my family, and the time we get to spend together! Keep it light!
My daily movement. Going outside for a walk or doing a BeachBody On Demand workout helps your mood SO much! Getting a workout in daily is such a mood booster.
My water intake. Drinking water helps reduce snacking, gives you boosted brain function, and more! Use this opportunity to get a full 8 cups of water every day!
My routine. Routine looks different these days. I try to maintain some normalcy in this time by getting up, eating well, and moving my body! Doing a little something every day helps me stay focused.
My sleep. Getting a good night of sleep makes all the difference! Sleep helps with anxiety, metabolism, and so much more! End the night with some tea and reading to help slow down your night and get better sleep.
These things I can control. The things I can’t, I give up to God. I’m praying for you!
