Four years ago I made a choice, to do something for ME, wife, mom of three, teacher, lover of JESUS to become STRONG!
Not only in my walk with Jesus, or as a mom and wife but with my physical body. Being skinny is not healthy just as much as being over weight is not healthy. I didn’t realize how unhealthy I was until I dug deeper into nutrition. Peanut butter, crackers, bagels, cheese, all kinds of processed fake meats, whole bunch of nuts, sugary cereals, Eggo waffles, and a ton of fancy coffees with sugar (I would have a fancy Starbucks in the morning and not eat for 6 hours!) And what I thought were good food choices: peanut butter, cheese, and nuts- which I considered as protein for my Vegetarian diet I have had for 26 years. Yeah…Not so much! I just was not informed or educated as to what was healthy, especially for a vegetarian.
Shakeology and wholesome foods have turned my tummy into something that functions way better now at 45, than how it felt when I was in my 30’s! ??
With my home workouts I have gained muscle, pounds, inches and confidence with my body that God designed for me. More importantly than that, God started transforming my heart from the inside out.
I would hear words from others who just did not understand or know the whole story. They would say hurtful words and make unkind comments. I have learned that these words do not define me or give explanation as to who I am.
Here is the truth my friends: you get to CHOOSE to be good to your body with proper nutrition, exercise and consistency or NOT!
I have chosen to change from being skinny to STRONG! Thanks for walking this journey with me.
